HALLOWEEN BARFER!

There's one in every crowd, isn't there?

Do you remember going out drinking in your teen years? Someone always got sick and barfed all over the place.

The stench of barf makes me barf. I can never clean up any ones barf (not that I make a habit of that) without getting the barfers.

I remember one teen barfing experience. A friend and I were in my VW Bug headed to a night spot on the River. It was "the place" to hang out, dance and act stupid. That night Leon and I were pretty much three sheets into the wind having consumed copious amounts of cheap beer.

Just as we pulled into the parking lot of the dance club and without any warning friend Leon barfed in, around and into the heater vent of the VW. Yes, the heater/defroster vent by the windshield. Of all places to hurl.

If you know how old VW's work it is impossible to get inside the heater/defroster vent for cleaning. Impossible!

For months afterwards when the heater was turned on the smell of barf came with it. It was a cold winter that year and an even colder winter in the VW as it became a habit not to turn on the heater for months and months and months.

I'll bet if that damn car is still around you can still smell barf when the heater is on.

It's an art to barfing. Knowing where and when to hurl takes practice. I wonder if Leon ever got the hang of it.

Just thinking about it makes me want to barf. :)
I had a 59 vw bug as a teenager and my mom made me a lap blanket for the winter. It didn't have a heater.
I loved that car.

That's kinda gross. Should you ever get in that situation next time just remember that Coffee and Kruellers hold back the honk!

Jessi: Thanks! I thought you'd like that.

La Roo: I've owned a 1957, a 1960, a 1969, and a 1972 VW. I know all about their horrible heaters. Makes me shiver just to think back.

Fox: I'll hold that thought for future use.
