In case you didn't watch MTV's video music awards last night, this clown from Great Britain hosted that gig.Opening monologue: Trashed our President (tagged the Bushman as being a RETARDED COWBOY). Okay for Americans but not okay for a limey), dissed our country, explained why Americans should vote for Obama ("Americans are racist if they don't vote for Obama"), joked about Sarah Palin's daughter's pregnancy, made fun of the chastity rings worn by the Jonas Brothers . . . and so on and so on. Basically, MTV gave this guy a platform so he could insult Americans. And he did just that.
If an American took the British stage and insulted their culture, government or what have you, they would have been egged, booed and had their ass kicked.
I sat through the monologue thinking that someone in the VMA audience would begin to boo and hiss or storm the stage to shut this guy up. Unfortunately, the audience was either too stoned, drunk, deaf, impervious, or polite to do anything but sit there and take it. We continue to be a nation of sheep.
While what this idiot said may sound tame, you really had to see it to understand how inappropriate and offensive this guy was last night.
Check out mtv.com . . . scroll to the bottom of the front page to where it says "Send Us Feedback" and click on that. Scroll to the bottom of the page to pick up comments from incensed viewer to really get a picture of what this clown said last night.
MTV's front page at 7 a.m. pacific time today screams out, BRITNEY AND BRAND STEAL THE SHOW! Horse crap.
If you're really interested YouTube has a poor quality video of his monologue. Search for Russell Brand then at the top for viewing preferences dial in videos posted today.
I am writing MTV and telephoning the sponsors of last nights VMA's to complain and to encourage the latter to pull their MTV advertising. Permanently.
MTV? Like Russell Brand you are IDIOTS in thinking that his line of humor would be okay with Americans.
If anyone in the State Department is listening, you have my vote to deport Russell Brand and to tear up his American visa. He is not welcome here!

Bob, this post is worthy of being entered at the Hurt Locker. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I don't watch MTV. That channel has gone to shit since they stopped playing music videos and got rid of their VJs.
As far as Brand is concerned, he is just jealous because we know that he knows the queen swallows!

Who is he?!? I absolutely hated him. He wasn't funny, not once, not even slightly amusing. Is he a celebrity? I can't figure out where he came from or why anyone thought it would be a good idea to have him host the show.
No wonder I never watch MTV.
